About RedisMyColor

An awesome place I've visited:

Cornwall, England

My perfect Sunday:

Day trip, or a picnic and a walk along the Charles or the beach, or somewhere green and pretty, and then lying on a blanket reading quietly together, or reading a book out loud to each other. Maybe we start with brunch, or continue on to an outdoor festival...

The movie I've watched the most times:

An accurate number would be difficult to gauge, but it's either The Princess Bride, Zoolander, Dead Poets Society, or Harold and Maude.

My life history in 5 sentences or fewer:

Born in Israel, grew up there, in Maryland and California, then moved to Boston. Close-knit extended family, one sister, one brother, wonderful parents. Love learning languages and traveling but haven't traveled in far too long. Lived in Italy for a year and England for four months and Israel for over five years and still want to see the world. Still don't know what I want to be when I grow up but it's all good because I love my job.

My first concert / My dream concert:

My first concert, tenth grade, April 15, 1992, U2, Zoo TV tour, with my best friend, Katie. I still have the shirt. In the middle of the concert, Bono called QVC and asked to buy a diamond the size of his bellybutton. I don't think they had one...

Obscure knowledge I possess:

I have a huge lyric recall, so I know the words to hundreds of songs. Don't know if this counts as obscure, but I have friends who never know the lyrics, so in a relative sense, maybe, it's obscure....

I have a weakness for guys/girls who:

really get me, make me feel at home. Laugh at my jokes. Make me laugh. Know how to listen, and don't do it strategically, but because it's just who they are. See - and appreciate - the real me.

For me, a first date no-no is:

Talking about other dates or your general experience of online dating. I mean seriously??? Talking about yourself incessantly and never asking your date any questions. If you want to date yourself, don't force someone else to sit through it with you.

What I would bring to show and tell:

The drum head Marty Beller of They Might Be Giants gave me at the latest TMBG concert I went to. He drew himself on it and signed it, and then walked across the stage and handed it to me!

A story you should remind me to tell you on our first date:

Hitch-hiking on Martha's Vineyard.

I secretly want to be:

in the Tardis, traveling with the Doctor.

If I won the lottery and quit my job, I would:

travel the world, learn languages immersion-style, learn various dances, volunteer in situ, take classes or study all kinds of things, donate money to worth causes, take my family on amazing vacations.

I want to come home to:

Warm arms, kisses, a loving smile, a hot, delcious meal, good conversation, and lots of belly laughs.
